LIONS PARK PLAYGROUND AND BBQ AREA

This lively playground with swings, slides, and climbing frames boasts a large grassy area and well-equipped covered barbeques. Located between the main street and the Mallacoota Inlet, this park is a favourite picnic and outing spot for families.

Genoa Park Playground

Located on the NSW side of Genoa Bridge, access to the playground is via Princess Highway. When heading north, turn left, double back on yourself, and find the park alongside the free campground. With swings, slides, a climbing net and a sandpit digger, this playground offers entertainment for kids all ages. Be sure to check out the tetrapod sculpture and find its informative plaque hiding on a large rock nearby!

Mallacoota Foreshore Caravan Park Playgrounds

With two play areas providing kiddies’ fun for both campers and the public, the Foreshore Caravan Park is a top choice for families visiting Mallacoota. The main playground sits at the top end near the main oval, and the smaller one can be found by the main wharf. Both are well equipped and within walking distance from the town centre.

Mini Golf

The Mallacoota Mini Golf is an 18-hole Mallacoota-themed course. Hone your swing at holes like the Betka River, Gabo Island and The Bunker. Game on!

Bookings open for birthday celebrations, the course also offers extended opening hours over summer.

Skatepark

The Mallacoota Skatepark consists of a small steel street course with banks, a quarterpipe, a box, rails and a concrete flat for different types of tricks.

The skatepark is located adjacent to the Lions Park Playground, just behind the main street.

Visitors will find toilets, a water bubbler, and barbeques in the area near the playground.

Pedal Boats

Situated only a 1-minute walk from the main wharf, Mallacoota Hireboats are experts on providing fun for kids and adults alike. Paddle along Coull’s Inlet, and explore the sheltered waters of the Mallacoota Lake.

Pedal Boat rentals start at half an hour, so this is a great choice to cruise for as little or as long as you want.

10 Bucklands Drive

Tip Beach sand dune

With a steep slope perfect for sandboarding and enjoying incredible views from the top, Tip Beach’s sand dune guarantees hours of fun for kids all ages. Head there in the evenings after the dunes have cooled down a bit and enjoy a sandy sliding sesh!

A favourite pastime for both locals and visitors, Tip Beach is located only 3.5 km south of Mallacoota centre, at the end of Nelson Drive -past the Golf and Country Club.

Surf lessons

Pop up on the board and sharpen your surfing skills! Kids and adults keen to catch a few waves, have a paddle, or simply learn the basics, book and join the Surf Shack School lessons.

All classes are taught by qualified instructors. These run mainly during school holidays, but get in touch and chat with the Shack’s friendly staff for further information.
